Summer Plans~New original painting

What are your summer plans ?  This is my newest painting.  I never considered myself a "blue" person until now.  I love these color relationships.

The dimensions are 20x16 painted on birch wood panel.  Thanks for looking.

Leo and The Baroness-Original painting by Catherine Nolin

This is my new painting. My valentines painting a day late.   I remember a time that I didn't like the combination of red and pink but I am loving it these days.  Love a  red lacquer chest  as well.  Leo seems to find his way into my paintings here and there.  He's just so darn cute.  This painting is for sale in my etsy shop.  www.catherine47.etsy.com

Staying In~Original Painting

I tried to finish this piece before it got too dark outside so I could take a good photo. I managed to finish in time buts since it's a gray rainy day, it's just too dark to get a good shot but here is the" low light version."  I'll re shoot tomorrow in better conditions.

Our little kitty Leonardo is trying to get outside any chance he gets but we have decided for his own safety  that he can't be an outside cat. We will bring the outside to him !  This painting is 14x11 painted on stretched canvas.

Art Lover-Original Painting by Catherine Nolin

I'm really excited about this painting.

My favorite photographer has got to be Rodney Smith.  You may recognize this woman from an ad he did for designer Barbara Barry.  As you can see Leo is getting bigger.

This painting is 14x11 done with acrylics on stretched canvas.  For sale in my etsy shop

Mr. Tabby and the Mirror

My latest painting. When my kids were little, we had a cat just like this named Barney (of course! ) He was very cool and when we got Abbey our yellow lab he decided to take off. We are hoping to get another one soon! This piece is 11x14 painted on stretched canvas. Sides have been painted so no frame is needed.

Sleep Study

By now you must realize that I am obsessed with pagoda vases and orange sofas!  Here is my newest painting.  Glad I finished it early enough this morning so I can concentrate on   another smaller piece and hopefully complete it as well.   Sleep Study is 16x20 painted on stretched gallery wrapped canvas.  For sale in my Etsy shop.

Sneak Peak of my newest painting.

I have just a few more details to do on this painting. What do you think?  I love the cat.  I use to have one just like it.  When we got our yellow lab, he decided to take off.  My kids swear they still see him living a few streets down.   Anyway, tomorrow this painting will have a proper post.
