Till The Man Of Her Dreams Comes To Break The Spell." Paul McCartney

Happy Friday! This is a little different for me. As you can see  I am becoming more and more interested in painting animals both wild and domestic but with a twist of course.  There so many amazingly beautiful animals and I am looking forward to discovering them through painting. Mr Bear is 11x14 painted on a cradled birchwood panel. The sides are painted so no frame is needed.  thanks for looking for sale in my etsy shop and my website

Classical Music Festival ~Commission

This is a commission I just completed today.  I wish this way my backyard.  I have seen a few bunnies and a deer once but I can never seem to maintain those darn topiaries! Anyway, this piece is 16x12 painted on a cradled birchwood panel.  I am very excited for my client to see it. This painting has inspired me to do a few really different type pieces involving animals.
Thanks for stopping by.

Sleeping on the job.

I will be working on some commission pieces over the next few months.  Today is a good day to regroup and head off to the art store for some new supplies.  I love buying paint and new brushes.  I've decided to skip the Beacon Hill Art Walk this year.  I have participated in the event for at least 11 years now but I just don't have the inventory.  I know that's a good thing but I will miss showing my work.   On another note my son  Zach will be exhibiting his paintings there for the first time! I am very excited for him and know he will do well at this venue.

An Artful Eye-New Painting

While I was painting this piece I imagined Rita practicing her pose for the artist who was scheduled to arrive shortly.  I love so many things about this piece.  I included some lambs since I heard  15 were born on my niece's farm in Maine last week.  What a site that must be.  I also decided to add a mother swan and of course three babies.  This painting is for sale in my etsy shop and my website.

Wild Flower Daydream~New Work

Wild Flower Daydream is my latest painting. Completed 4/1/14.
Agnes lives deep in the woods of Maine. On any given day, in the summer, you can find her among the wild flowers. This painting is 16x20 created on a birch wood cradled panel. Sides are painted to match and it's wired and ready to hang. Thanks for looking..
