Stage Left New Painting -SOLD

Completed on 3-18 "Stage Left"  By now you know I love cats of all kinds.  I was due for an animal themed piece. Since I just came back from NYC and saw "Beautiful" on Broadway the red curtains were calling!  This painting was created on a flat wooden panel rather than a cradled one but it has a build in hook in the back for easy hanging.  It's 11x14 and the edges are painted to match.
BTW "Beautiful" was amazing.  I couldn't get over the talent and passion of that cast!
Thanks for stopping by.
This is for sale on my website and etsy shop.

Margaret's Prelude- New Painting -Sold

Completed on 3-14  When I began this piece I knew I wanted to create a room with deep greens and my favorite red as accents.  Theo one of my kitties, worked his way into the piece as well as my flower carpet and love vase while Beethoven oversees  the whole mix of things.
I loved painting this piece.
This painting has sold.

New Journey~

I began a new painting today or should I say journey.  I consider my more involved pieces journeys.    This painting has to do with music and time.  I wish I could work on it 24 /7  and come up for air when it's complete but I am married, I have three sons and help care for  an aging mother.  I also have five sisters and a brother who text me constantly which really makes it hard to work at home! I wouldn't want it any other way !  I will post my progress perhaps tomorrow. I'm getting involved in some new ventures.  I have licensed my designs to a California based needlepoint company and now I am selling canvas prints of some of my popular images in a local gallery in my home town of Andover, MA.  I want to spend the majority of my time painting and this local gallery and a few others I am going with this spring, will make that possible.  I will still be selling my originals but some will be only available exclusively through these galleries going forward.  I will keep you posted!

Flora and Peter- New painting.

I was due to paint a still life right about now.  It's been a crazy few weeks but I managed to carve away enough time between caring for my aging mother and Sam.  They are both ok but my mother is 87 and insists on living in her own apartment even though she is slowing down and finding it hard to do even the simplest of things.  She tells my sisters and I that we are her "assisted living !"  I don't blame her but if it wasn't for having 5 sisters to share in her care, it wouldn't be possible.  Anyway, she is a big part of my life and we do the bet we can while we can.
This new still life is 12x16 painted on a cradled wood panel with painted sides.  I'm feeling spring time early this year.
