Miss Coral 's Garden

Here is my second whimsical pattern painting. Coral doesn't represent anyone I know personally, but I imagine that if you found someone sitting in a chair under the sea, this is probably what she would look like~ This piece is 11x14 done with acrylics on stretched cotton. The sides have been painted so it can be hung with out a frame. For sale in my Etsy shop.

Makes Me Wonder

I just read a great article on painters and what makes a great painting etc. The writer mentioned that an artist needs to ask why. Why do I paint this subject? Why do I paint this way?

My answer. I paint interiors, rooms full of still life objects in which I trying to create a narrative. I love to combine color, patterns and objects in a captivating and contemplative way.

I Read The News Today

As I have mentioned before, I grew up wit five older sisters in the 19 60's and 70's. The Beatles were always playing in the background unless my father was home and then it was Frank- as in Sinatra.
Anyway, this new 8x10 painting has a British flare. I feel my work is evolving into something very exciting for me.
