In the studio ~ What I am working on..............

This is my latest painting.  I was thinking that I would have it  finished by the end of the day but it's just not happening.  Way too distracted today.   I need to step away, besides my husband is turning 50! yikes, and I am having a small party for him tomorrow night. 

This piece is 20x18, a little bigger than the other paintings in my shop.  I am excited to finish it hopefully Monday.  Have a wonderful weekend.  Thank You for stopping by.  Catherine

This is a painting I've been working on. Thought I'd have it wrapped up today but looks like I need another day. Somehow, my lady is turning into a short haired Emily Blunt. Maybe because I saw "Salmon Fishing In Yemen" this past weekend. That seems to happen with my paintings~ sometimes.

Still Life Auricula

Today my sister and I took our mother to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. What an absolutely enchanting place to spend an afternoon.  The design of the museum was taken from the Palazzo Barbaro in Venice  when the Gardners visited there in 1884.  In 1990 two thieves dressed as police stole 13 works of art including a Vermeer, and a Rembrandt.  The works have never been recovered and the empty frames still hang in place.

  I painted this piece in November of 2011.
