For the past 10 years I have participated in the Beacon hill art Walk in Boston. It always takes place the first Sunday of June in the nooks and crannies of Beacon Hill. I was one of the first shows I ever did and by far the best. The people from this community have a deep appreciation for original art. I look forward to reconnecting with many of my customers who come back each year. Last year the weather did not cooperate and we had a huge down pour towards the end of the day. I am hoping for a beautiful day for everyone. Here is a little more info on the Art Walk.

New Tree Of Life
Today I was able to complete this painting despite feeling a bit under the weather. By the time I finished I was feeling much better. I guess nature heals. Painted on linen with acrylics. 11x14 and the sides have been painted so no frame is needed.

Sophia's Pagoda Vase Is Empty
Must be Friday since I have completed another painting. Sophia needs some flowers for her vase. She is fortunate that she can simply walk outside and have her pick. Can you tell what my influences were for this piece? Hopefully, like Sophia, I will be able to walk outside and have my pick of flowers once the sun comes back! This new painting is 11x14 done on stretched canvas for sale in my Etsy Shop.
Have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Garden Bouquet
I am very excited about my new painting. I was very much inspired by the Dutch painter of the late 1500’s Ambrosius Bosschaert. Absolutely breath taking still lifes. I don’t usually do traditional compositions but I really enjoyed painting this vase with flowers. I may do a few more. This painting is 11x14 painted on stretched canvas. The sides have been painted so no frame is needed.

Living In The Moment
I do love the combination of eggplant and orange. I have been seeing it more and more lately. This painting is reminder to me that life is "now"(as my two sons would say.) I get so caught up in my work sometimes that I forget to come up for air, literally! This scene is simple and peaceful, kitten included. I think I'll stop and have a cup of tea. I like Good Earth green tea with lemongrass but not too late in the day otherwise I can't sleep. Hope you are having a good day.

You know you're artist when...................
"You know you're an artist when......"
.....You start painting at , then after what seems like an hour - you go to bed at .
.....You start painting at , then after what seems like an hour - you go to bed at .
.....your kitchen table looks like the table at the craft shop.
.....the words you hear most are "how long did it take you to paint that"?
-You were more concerned about the color of your car than the fuel consumption.
-The highlights in your hair are from your palette and not Clairol.
You never look at a person's face as a whole. You break it up into shadows and lines and shapes, and think how they would look on a canvas.
You butter your toast with your fingers, just to feel its texture.
You are over 50 and still have no health insurance
You know what shade of green the lichen on the trees is.
You can't find a nice outfit for your date because everything has paint smears on
. You're late for the date because you suddenly knew exactly what that detail of your latest painting needed and just had to fix it while it was fresh in your mind.
You bought paint instead of food!
. You draw your letters instead of write them.
There are Prussian blue fingerprints on your phone

Hello It's Me.
I have wanted to do a painting that included an old phone. I don't even have a land line anymore but I love the look of phones especially black ones. I decided to include the parrot since the theme here is communication. This piece has a some what dark but rich feeling to it. I seem to be going down that road lately with color. 8x10 painted on stretched cotton.
