Art and Quote of the day...........

“To see far is one thing, going there is another.” ~Constantin Brancusi

I am continuing to work on a rather large piece this week.  I will most likely post another image of my progress at the end of the day today.  This was a favorite painting I did last year around this time.  Thanks for stopping by.  Catherine

The Tree Of Life II

This is my newest piece. Another variation on The Tree Of life. I have enjoyed every brush stroke, every minute of my time creating this painting. It's going to be difficult to part with this one. Although it 11x14 done on stretched cotton and linen I can visualize it much larger also. I could have gone on and on with detail and layers forever! I hope you enjoy looking at this special painting.

Villa Parmina

" Those Who Bring Sunshine To The Lives Of Others
Cannot Keep It From Themselves." JM b

I read that quote a few days ago and then decided to do a painting based on it. The photo isn't just right once again. I need to spend a little more time working out the problems I am having with my camera even though I don't feel like it. Villa Parmina in Sicily is also partly responsible for a lot of the colors and patterns in this piece. The view in my painting is similar to the one from the villa. I guess my trip is beginning to seep in to my painting........finally.

My New Designs

These are some new designs I have created for reproduction.
