I get a lot of inspiration from art and interior design blogs. One of my favorite blogs did a profile on New Orleans designer Melissa Rufty. This is one of her many lovely interiors that I decided to paint. This particular designer combines color and pattern that I find fresh and interesting. Beautifully old world classic yet very now. I think it would be fun to occasionally pick a designer and paint a room they have designed.
This painting is 11x14 done on stretched cotton and linen with acrylics.
