I have wanted to do a painting that included an old phone. I don't even have a land line anymore but I love the look of phones especially black ones. I decided to include the parrot since the theme here is communication. This piece has a some what dark but rich feeling to it. I seem to be going down that road lately with color. 8x10 painted on stretched cotton.

Loving your paintings ~ the colours remind me of old tapestries, but even richer.
And of course, anything with an old vintage telephone has to be gorgeous!
