The Fox , The Hound and Magpie ~ New Painting

Friday afternoon and it's so gray and snowy here again.  After 30 inches of the white stuff from  Tuesday, we are expecting another foot on Monday. Although it's getting to be a bit of  a downer,  I am fortunate I work at home not to mention I love my job!
This painting is 11x14 created  on a cradled birch wood panel.  The sides are painted to match.
Thanks for looking.

Secret's From The Garden -New painting

Just completed a few minutes ago.  I was due for a classic still life but with a twist of course! When my husband sees this he will say-Caterpillars don't come out of eggs- Well in my world they do and out of Faberge Eggs! He's much too much of an engineer to critique my  paintings! BTW I don't think the caterpillar made it too far..  12x16 painted on birch wood cradled panel with painted sides. https://www.etsy.com/listing/219306791/still-life-painting-flora?ref=shop_home_active_1

British Vignette~ New Painting

www.catherinenolin.org
After a long break, I finally got back into my groove this week.   This is my first painting of the new year.  I thought it would be fun to create a piece with a British theme.  I found plenty of inspiration ~Wedgewood, Corgi's, Queens and bowler caps! The painting within is a familiar image except I've replaced the apple with a spot of tea. Dimensions are   24" x 18" and painting on a cradled birchwood panel.
On another interesting synchronistic note.  I received an email from a student in England who shared with me that her class (high school) is researching my work for a project they are doing.  They will be recreating some of my nature inspired pieces. I had the idea for this painting long before I received the email from this student.  Thanks for stopping by.

The week with Sam is over.

"I have looked into his eyes more than I’ve ever looked into anyone’s. I’ll never know his thoughts, but our connection is powerful. He possesses an intangible, indefinable beauty. I love my son in a way I will never love anyone else." Writing by a mother with a son with special needs.
I came across an article last night and now I cannot find it again to give proper credit but she so poignantly penned how I feel.
