Abstract Eagle

This is my new painting. I got a little help from the Byzantine and Egyptian period here. I love the lines and shapes of birds. They can really pull off these colors and patterns. They make it easy. This painting is 11x14 for sale in my Etsy shop. Don't forget about my November giveaway. The drawing is the 10th! Thank you all for such lovely comments and encouragement. Catherine

Oh, I hadn't even thought to use a bird-shape like this! My first thought when I saw it was that it reminded me of myth illustrations. I love it!

Catherine, thank you for visiting my blog. I had to come see yours. I love your biography and I'm so glad you too found your calling. I grew up in an Argentine/Italian family. I know exactly what it means to be a part of such a tight knit group. Thank you for visiting and I hope we become friends.

Hi Catherine! Thanks for coming to join my blog! Your work is fascinating! I am a comic/childrens' book type of illustrator, just getting started at my age, but having fun! Come back sometime! Anita
