On my easel.....

This is what I 've been working on this week.  It's having to do with Mothers and daughters of course.  I am hoping to have it done tomorrow but it's hard to stay focused on Fridays especially.  The one good thing is that my son has my car in Boston over night so I can't leave the house! Can you  see the story in this painting.  Thanks for looking.

Theresa's Vignette~New Painting

I don't usually finish paintings on Saturdays but I was on a roll today.  I was ready to paint some intense color combinations.  I have referenced different versions of this Matisse inspired painting on the wall.  My favorite kitty Leonardo and  the French white telephone are making a repeat appearance as well.  The painting is 14x18 painted with acrylics on a cradled birch wood panel.  For sale

Venus Of The Renaissance~ New work by Maxwell Nolin

This is Maxwell's newest painting.  He continues to be inspired by Italian Renaissance art but manages to add his own signature style. This piece is 20x24 painted on birch wood cradled panel.  It's for sale in my Etsy shop.  I told him he needs get his own shop!  His work is beautifully executed and the colors are gorgeous.

Boston

Every year for the past 10 years I have participated in the Beacon Hill Art Walk in Boston.   It's the only art show I still participate in.  The atmosphere, the people and setting make it such a unique day. In preparing my work this time around it's difficult to shake the sad feelings I have.  This was a painting I did three years ago with a Beacon Hill theme.  My heart goes out to the innocent victims and families.

Queen Of Everything~New Work

I am so so excited about this newpainting! I just finished a few minutes ago.  Some of my inspiration for this piece comes from the set and stage designer Tony Duquette as well as renaissance art.  This painting was total joy from start to finish.  It's 16x20 painted with acrylics on a cradled birch wood panel.  Sides are painted to match so no frame is needed.   Available for sale

New Painting~Lonely Hearts Club

Hannah doesn't realize how fortunate she really is.  This is my newest painting.  I have been wanting to paint a Dalmatian dog and also feature a Boston scene.  Back Bay is one of the prettiest areas in Boston.  I have included a Red Sox reference along with a few other familiar items. You can figure out the story here.   This piece is 11x14 painted with acrylics on a cradled birch wood panel.  For sale in my Etsy shop
as well as my website www.catherinenolin.org
