Bernhard and Leo ~ Original Painting

This is a new painting done by my son Max who is turning 22 next week. He started painting in high school and went on to study  at the Museum School in Boston.   We are very excited about Max's evolution as a painter.  He has been home for a break before moving to Maine at the end of the month.  In that time, we have inspired and learned much from each other.  He has only just begun his painting career.  This beautiful painting is 18x24 painted on a cradled wood panel and   available for sale in my Etsy shop  www.catherine47.etsy.com
More to come from Max!

This is the commission I have been working on for about a month now.  It's 48x60 inches.  I am very excited to show my client today. Have a great weekend. I will be starting some new pieces next week and I cannot wait.

My painting is featured

My painting was featured on the cover of this publication.  Kind of exciting for me(:
It's  circulated through out the Carolina's and Georgia.
I 'm not giving this latest snow storm any attention.  It's melting quickly and spring is coming!

Captain Samuel Scott ~New Painting

Behind every great Sea Captain is a loyal first mate!
Well, I finished this piece a day later than expected but well worth it.  I had a lot of fun with this one!  It's 11x14 painted on a birch wood panel.

On my easel............

This painting is 11x14.  If all goes well, I should have it completed tomorrow.  I've been thinking about painting more pieces  related to where I am from. More to follow.

I have been working on a very large commission (48x60) for the pass few weeks.  If it wasn't a custom piece,  I would post my progress.   It  is coming together very nicely considering the size.
Big commissions have always inspired me with new ideas.  They will be coming along shortly!
Thanks for looking.
