What I'm working on......

I'm working on another 12x16 piece.  You may recognize where my inspiration is coming from here.  Can't wait to add some strong color here and lots of details including some furry ones and special trinkets. 

The Places Our Children Take Us.

 When your kids are ok everything is right with the  world.    My youngest son has struggled so much and for so long .  It is a bittersweet roller coaster ride daily but I think we are headed toward a good place now.  I feel determined and hopeful.  At the same time I am so proud of my two older sons.  My oldest newly married son is really working hard producing amazing videos and commercials and still has a little time for painting and illustrating.  My middle son continues to be mentored by a well known painter from Maine.  He's an already gifted painter, but learning and evolving so much into something wonderful.  I love the places our children take us.

I'm feeling that my next painting will be somewhat spiritual. I am in a good place right now and feel grateful.  

La Primavera- New Painting

Completed on 2-22-17  La Primavera is  16x12 painted on a cradled wood panel with painted sides.  I love to infuse the old masters with a modern twist when it comes to still life paintings.  It wasn't until I actually photographed this piece that I noticed such a great energy about it.  The vivid colors and motion .  Thanks for looking.

Peacing It Together- New painting SOLD

SOLD The latest work is 12x16 on a cradled wood panel with painted sides.  

As I have mentioned before I am from a family of 7 - 6 woman and one younger brother.  I am the youngest of the girls.  There is a teachers, nurses, writer/ journalist, real estate agent, and restaurant owner in the mix.  They are all strong woman who have helped raise and shape me into the person I have become.  We are all still close and have a blast together when we can manage to get together.  My brother isn't too bad either .  He understands woman pretty well!

I've started a new piece which has an obvious theme going on .  A lot more to come though.   It's 12x16 btw

Looking Through You~ New work SOLD

Completed on February 9, 2017  12x16 on a cradled wood panel with painted sides.  

  A big nor'easter is coming  today.  I am well prepared with lots of supplies~ brushes, good paint and inspiration.  I love owls, they remind me of people I think I know! "Looking Through You"  is now available on my website.

Confessions Of A Wallflower- new painting

Completed on 2/2/17.  The name for this painting just popped into my head as I was finishing it.  18x24 on a cradled wood panel with painted sides.  I am so excited to show this piece to you. The larger size gives it great drama and the  floral backdrop had a mind of it's own.  Available on my website.
