Art Lover-Original Painting by Catherine Nolin
I'm really excited about this painting.
My favorite photographer has got to be Rodney Smith. You may recognize this woman from an ad he did for designer Barbara Barry. As you can see Leo is getting bigger.
This painting is 14x11 done with acrylics on stretched canvas. For sale in my etsy shop

Ode to Pablo

I decided to work with some more primary colors. I have had a long time love/ hate relationship with red. This painting is 11x14 and will be coming with me Saturday to the exhibit in New York.
Obviously, big fan of Picasso. This piece is somewhat of a self portrait. I enjoyed creating all the fine detail involved here.

The Music Room

At some point you have to say a painting is done even though you could continue. This was one of those paintings. I have loved it all along but at the same time something was missing. After putting it back up on the easel Monday, I can say now that I feel it is done.

ART MATTERS

This is an original painting that I created in response to the times we are in. Two of my three son's are aspiring artists. Max was just accepted into the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston, MA. and my other son, Zach, is following his own unique path. People are always saying to them " you can't make a living as an artist, you'll starve." I say the world is in great need of creative people with original fresh ideas. There are many opportunities for a young person with an art education. Gifts, talent, original ideas are not things that can ever be out-sourced.This painting is 9x12 done in acrylics on stretched cotton.
$200.00 unframed.

Picatso III

Today was a real regrouping day for me. Working at home, painting at home, makes it difficult to stay on task. I find myself doing a million things before i get to my painting . I tend to loose my drive, creativity when i don't get right to it.
This piece is 16x20 . I still love cats even though i have a yellow lab that scared our tiger cat Barney away 8 years ago. My kids still think they see Barney living a few streets over. Maybe.
