17 Hyde Park- If Walls Could Talk......

Completed on February 24.  17 Hyde Park is my newest painting.  I am still loving my new red paint.  What better than a regal uniform  and a fancy couch to show it off.  I got the idea for this interior from vintage images of abandoned chateaus and castles.  It's 16x20 painted on a cradled birch wood panel with painted sides.

Ophelia's Atelier -new painting

Hello Everyone.  I just completed "Ophelia's Atelier"   a few minutes ago and wanted to share it with you this evening.  The photo is a bit reflective due to the spot lights I used to photograph it at night.  I am just in love with this new red paint I bought last week.  I couldn't wait to paint the curtains and chair! I love all these colors together of course.  It's 16x20 painted on a wood panel (cradled) with painted sides.  Lots of things are happening with my work that I am very excited about which I will share soon. Thanks for looking  Happy Valentine's Day! Click the link to view on my website.

I've arrived at a point where some opportunities are knocking at the door .  Although I love selling directly and interacting with my customers, I am considering a move which would change things regarding my print business and ultimately my originals.  For the moment , I am still testing and exploring.   I am working on a piece that I hope to have done by the end of today.   My husband has the day off so I hope that I can stay focused.  I am beyond excited about how this painting is evolving!
This piece has definitely been influenced by my binge -watching of the PBS series Poldark.  It's my new favorite show!  I have somewhat of a crush on the main actor Ross.  (:
I would also like to mention that my husband is such a hard worker and rarely takes a day off but you see we are having my oldest son's future in laws for dinner Saturday night and Scott loves to cook epic meals which require two days to pull off!  I am only in charge of visuals - table setting and flowers and of course cleaning the guest bathroom! I wouldn't want it any other way.  Stay tuned for my new piece it's 16x20 and coming soon!
PS. my studio is a huge mess most of the time especially when I am in the middle of a painting. Scott usually comments "How can you work in these conditions?"  I wouldn't want it any other way either!
Ciao

Fly Away Jack- New painting

SOLD    Completed on 2-7-2016.  Fly Away Jack is 11x14 painted on a cradled wood panel with painted sides.  I love clouds, I love painting them in surreal surroundings.  Fly Away Jack is from a nursery rhythm that Sam still likes to hear.  It makes him smile and laugh and when he does it's like winning the lottery.
