Climb Every Mountain-New small painting

Inspiration for this small painting comes from who else- Leo.  He's been a bit frustrated lately not going outside  much given the cold temps.  He's been  more engaging with the now 13 year old Lady Abbey. However, it isn't the most endearing interaction.
This painting is 8x10 painted on stretched canvas.  The sides are painted and it's wired and ready to hang.  Thanks for looking.

Art and Quote for today

We are stardust, we are golden, and we've got to get back to the garden...
Joni Mitchell, Crosby Stills Nash and Young.

This was a painting I did way back in 2009.  Hard to believe that was 5 years ago! Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great weekend.

Sneak Peak

Sneak Peak -I don't usually post commission work in progress but I am really excited about this painting. The colors and details are right up my alley.   My client wanted a piece based on a previous painting composition with many custom touches that have yet to be revealed!  I was hoping to have it completed by Friday but it's looking more like Monday/Tuesday now.

Bird House~New Painting

This is my first new painting for 2014.  Happy New Year!  I am really loving blue and burnt orange lately.  Bird are such a feast for the eyes.  I love painting them but I must admit I'm a bit afraid of them thanks to Alfred Hitchcock.  This painting is 11x14 painted with acrylics on canvas.  The sides have been painted and it's wired and ready to hang.  Thanks for stopping by!

Art and quote for today.

Without leaps of imagination or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all is a form of planning.Gloria Steinem
I am officially back to work in the studio.  It's still snowing here at an incredible rate and I hope we don't lose power.  What a wonderful season and year it was.  I am basically sold out of new work but I still have one reduced price painting.  "The Queen of Everything" was one of my favorites and I am so surprised it hasn't sold yet.  I have some commission work to tend to and in between I will start building up my portfolio again. Hope you will keep in touch.
Happy New Year!
