I'm so happy that I was able to finish this painting today. I will be bringing it along with the rest of my new work to Boston this Sunday. This will be my 11 year participating in the Beacon Hill Art Walk. Last year the weather was glorious and so many of my good friends and customers stopped by. This painting is 14x11 painted with acrylics on stretched canvas. The sides have been painted and it's wired and ready to hang! Thanks for looking.A

What are your summer plans ? This is my newest painting. I never considered myself a "blue" person until now. I love these color relationships.
The dimensions are 20x16 painted on birch wood panel. Thanks for looking.

I am so excited to have found a wonderful new art store pretty close to my house. I decided to purchase some birch wood boards/panels to paint on rather than canvas. The surface is so smooth and it accepts the paint so beautifully. The colors seem to be more vivid and rich as well! This is the perfect surface for me to work on. This painting I is 16x20 with deep sides. The light house in the distance is on Martha's Vineyard. Thanks for looking.

One of my very good customers asked me to paint a room portrait for her friend who happens to be a very accomplished musician/song writer. Her home in Georgia was devastated by a tornado last year
Here is Louisa with her pup and her painting.
A year ago Mother Nature took hold of Woodsong Farm and slung it into a tangle of debris and uprooted forests. Today 60 or 70 dear friends and neighbors, including some of the finest songwriters and musicians anywhere, came to celebrate the rebuilding of barns and home and regrowth of new open fields where the forests were. I thank you all for your part in such abundance it escapes words.

I just finished up another commission. I promised myself that I would take some time and go through my computer which has become so cluttered and slow these days and clean my office. In the process today I came across some of my older pieces I had long forgotten about.

This is my newest painting. I borrowed the title from a Joni Mitchell song and I think it's perfect. Although this is small piece, 8x10, it definitely packs a big punch. This was one of those paintings that just took off from the first brush stroke. It was effortless and very therapeutic for me at a time that I am feeling very anxious and down. Thanks for looking.a

This is a commission piece I created as a graduation gift from mother to daughter. The mother shared with me some background on her daughter telling me "she is the strongest person I know."
At the age of 12 she was severely injured in a car accident with multiple skull fractures and trauma to her head which left her with learning disabilities. She endured a series of surgeries and rehabilitation. While other girls her age were becoming interested in boys, going to dances and doing their nails this young lady was learning how to read again. Her mother told me she never complained or asked "Why me? "
Next month she is receiving her Master's Degree from the University of Washington. I was very happy to paint this tribute .
