Tree Of Life III new original painting by Catherine Nolin

Today is my youngest son Samuel's 18th birthday.  It's hard to believe.  For those of you who don't know about Sam he was diagnosed with autism and a few other medical conditions when he was two.  It's difficult to put into words how I feel today. Life has been a bittersweet emotional roller coater so far.  Sam has touched so many lives without ever knowing.  His very exsistance  has brought couple's together, made us experts on alternative medicine and diet, taught compassion, acceptance and to never take anything for granted.
I painted this Tree of Life because Sam has so much life to live and things to learn.  I will think positively about  him during this new year,  full of growing and healing.  This new painting is 20x16 painted on stretched canvas.  Available for sale in my Etsy shop

Back in the studio

It feels great to be back in my studio today.  I guess  winter is finally here in Massachusetts because my feet are still numb from the drafts in my studio.  I was so caught up in my details of my new painting that when I looked up at the clock, 6 hours had gone by.  I have begun a Tree Of Life painting but today I had to wrap it up early. I always have to wrap it up early on Mondays and tend to my other jobs in life.  I just realized that today is Tuesday!  Yikes.
Don't forget to enter my Giveaway.  The drawing is Jan 7th.  See my previous blog post about entering if you haven't already.    Catherine
