I am so grateful to have stumbled upon your site. I have a 12 year old daughter who we are trying to expose to a wide assortment of art styles right now to further her artistic development, so we both sat down & discussed your use of color & what your styles remind her of. Her favorite so far is "The Italian Job" which she says reminds her a bit of Frida Kahlo & a bit of how her dad(my husband, not Kahlo's dad lol) takes portraits of himself where he is only partially shown in the photograph, often just like the woman in the painting, part showing & part hiding. The rest of the picture's details help fill out the story about the person.

what a beatiful painting. the title caught my attention right away. i've only been to italy once, and then i end up marrying someone who's mother is 100% italian (1st gen. american). i'd love to visit italy with someone who's emotions are really "there". may not be there, but the painting would back me up.
