For all you Picasso and cat lovers. This is a variation of a piece I painted a few years ago. I also did a very similar commission last year and included a portrait of the customer's two Siamese kitty's.
This painting is 16x20 painted on stretched linen.

Please join me Sunday June 7th for the annual Beacon Hill Art Walk. This will be my 7th year participating in this unique fine art show. Paintings, photography and sculpture are displayed within the nooks and crannies of historic Beacon Hill in Boston, Ma.
I've been working for quite a while on a new painting that I am very excited about. Hopefully it will be finished at the end of this week. In the meantime I would like to thank Julie Thigpen from Belle Maison who featured me on her blog last month. http://www.bellemaison23.com/2009/04/featured-artist-catherine-nolin.html

At some point you have to say a painting is done even though you could continue. This was one of those paintings. I have loved it all along but at the same time something was missing. After putting it back up on the easel Monday, I can say now that I feel it is done.
